Mom’s Connection Planned at Dayspring
|The winter session of Mom's Connection will begin on January 25th at Dayspring Wesleyan Church. This will be an 8 week session held on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 am at the church. The group is open to mothers of children ages 5th grade and under.

|GriefShare is a special weekly seminar/support group for people grieving the death of someone close. It’s a place where you can be around people who understand how you feel and the pain of your loss. Organizers say that at GriefShare, you’ll learn valuable information that will help you through this difficult time in your life.
Church Holding Christmas Eve Breakfast, Party
|The community is invited to a free Christmas Breakfast and Party on Saturday, December 24, Christmas Eve morning, at First United Church of Christ. There will be a special menu and lots of celebrating and gifts for guests.
Free Christmas Eve Dinner, Service Offered
|This Christmas Eve, Country Caterers in Marion is inviting the public to attend a Christmas Eve service with their family and friends. The evening will include an open Christmas Eve service featuring live, traditional Christmas music and a sermon presented by Rob Lill.
Church Holding Free Veggie Tale Event
|Cornerstone Alliance Church, 2010 Marion-Marysville Road, Marion, will be having a free Veggie Tale Family Christmas Event: The Little Drummer Boy on Saturday, December 17, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
They will be watching the movie Veggie Tales: The Little Drummer Boy and also having a children's craft area and serving a light snack.
“Surviving The Holidays” GriefShare Session Offered in Marion

Free Babysitting While You Shop
|As a gift to the community, Prospect Street United Methodist Church is offering free babysitting on Saturday, December 10, from 12:30pm to 4:30pm. Bring your children, ages 10 and under, to the church at 185 South Prospect Street, Marion, and allow the church volunteers to entertain them while you get some Christmas shopping and errands done.
Gaballi Replaces Angel Food Program
|The Richland Road Church of Christ will begin a new food ministry program in December with Gaballi Foods, a Florida based company. It is a non-profit organization that offers AAA quality fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, poultry, prepared meals and packaged goods each month. There are several different food boxes available at a savings of 30-70% off retail prices.
Emanuel Lutheran Holding 14th Annual Free Thanksgiving Day Meal
|Thursday, November 24th, Emanuel Lutheran Church will once again offer a free Thanksgiving meal in their parlor from noon to 4:00pm with dine-in, carry-out and delivery options. The dinner began in 1998 and has grown into one of the church’s largest outreach programs. 2010 saw over 700 members of the community being fed their holiday meal by Emanuel.
Marion Church Holding Clothing Giveaway
|Richland Road Church of Christ will be having a free Fall and Winter Clothing Giveaway on Saturday, November 19. They will also be giving away new hats and gloves. Adult and children’s sizes will be available.
