Palace Holding Auditions for Winter Musical

Director Greg Patterson announces auditions on Wednesday, December 28 and Thursday, December 29 from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. for the winter musical "Meet Me in St. Louis.”

Patterson and his artistic team will select a cast of approximately 35-40 people. Those interested in auditioning should come with two practiced pieces of sheet music (an upbeat song and a ballad). A pianist will be provided.

Males and females ages 8 to 60 are invited to audition on the Palace stage, entering through the front theatre doors beneath the Palace marquee.

The show is scheduled for February 16, 17, and 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m.

“Meet Me in St. Louis” is a rare treasure in the musical theatre and is based on the heartwarming movie. Join the Smith family at the 1904 World's Fair and see how their love and respect for each other is tempered with the genuine humor that can only be generated by such a special family.

Memorable musical numbers by Hugh Martin & Ralph Blane include “The Boy Next Door,” “A Raving Beauty,” “The Trolley Song,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “Whenever I'm with You” and “A Day in New York.”

Greg Patterson brings several years of theatre experience with him having directed and performed in several shows at the Palace including “1776,” “The Sound of Music,” “Peter Pan,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change.”
