Marion Mighty Mites Earn 9 1st Places

Marion Mighty Mite wrestling club came home with nine 1st place finishes along with three 2nd, four 3rd, and four 4th place finishes in its second league meet of the season held at Hilliard Bradley High School on Sunday.
Taking 1st were Lem Reynolds, Mateo Natividad, Ashden Turrill, Wilson Hetrick, Jarrid Miracle, Hayden Danals, Dillon Baisten, Drake Cerny and Jacob Fohl. Taking 2nd were Weston Hetrick, Logan Miracle and Hayden Foltz. Thirds went to Donovin Natividad, Jamie Baisten Landen Mabe and Gavin Baisten. Finishing 4th for the day were Brycen Spaulding, Chase Simpson, Cavin Simpson and Carter Crowe.
The next league action for the Mighty Mite team will be Sunday, January 22 at Reynoldsburg High School.
Also competing Sunday was Mitchell Miracle for Marion Elite Wrestling Club which is the advanced break off of the Mighty Mite program. Mitchell wrestled in a dual tournament at Licking Hts. going 4-0 with three pins and earning the most valuable wrestler award for his division.
Marion Elite's next action Will be at the Avon Lake duals on January 22 where Marion Elite won the tournament last year outscoring it's opponents 474-38 and is the big favorite again this year. Teams at the tourney include Westshore, Avon Lake, Cincinnati Moeller, Carrolton, Shaker Hts., Cardinal Stritch, Mentor and Midview.
